Feist – A Man Is Not His Song

I’m back with another post (I know you have all been waiting) and today I want to share a song by Feist who is an canadian indie pop artist that has been in the game for a long time.

This is my first time listening to her, but I’m really impressed by her new album Pleasure which is an absolute pleasure to listen to – so perfect name choice for the album.

The song I picked out is a slow sweet song that is a pretty easy listen, but has a pretty cool message about how artists are not necessarily what they sing as the chorus goes:

‘Cause a man is not his song
And I’m not a story
But I wanna sing along
If he’s singing it for me

This is one of the better indie pop albums I have heard in a while – if you know anything like it, feel free to send it to me in a message.

Jens Lekman – To Know Your Mission

This Friday was the Friday I learned about Jens Lekman. He released a new album called Life Will See You Now, and I actually think it’s pretty good.

The happy upbeat vibe of the first song, To Know Your Mission instantly caught my attention. It even has some existentialist lyrics to go along with the poppy beat – the story of the song is quite cool, so pay attention to it if you listen to the song (and you definitely should).
