Back in the day (every Monday-post is gonna start out like this), I was a great fan of DMX and the album Grand Champ. He had everything you wanted from a rapper at that point: An aggressive voice, crazy flow, hard-hitting beats – what more could you want?
Well, there was actually a song that stood out to me on the album that wasn’t typical of DMX. It quickly became my favorite song and thank god for that repeat button!
I remember it as one of the first songs that spoke to me on a different level. Until that point in my life, I saw music as entertainment but this was one of the songs that changed my view on music completely – it could be used as a way to channel emotions as well, wow!
